5 Premier League Clubs Cristiano Ronaldo Never Scored Against
Here are five clubs in the Premier League where the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo has failed to score during his illustrious career.
Cristiano Ronaldo, arguably the highest goal scorer of all time, continues to dominate football even at 38. Despite his prolific Premier League career, Ronaldo hasn’t scored against every club. Here are five clubs Ronaldo never scored against in the English league.
Cristiano Ronaldo has competed against Leicester City three times but hasn’t managed to score. During the 2003-04 season, he first faced the Foxes, with Manchester United securing a narrow 1-0 win at Old Trafford, thanks to Gary Neville. Upon returning to Manchester United, Ronaldo faced Leicester twice more but was unable to score.
Ronaldo has played three matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) but has yet to score or provide an assist. During the 2003-04 Premier League season, Ronaldo faced Wolves twice, failing to make an impact. In the 2021-22 season, he faced Wolves again, with Wolves securing a surprising 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.
Despite intense clashes over the years, Ronaldo has never succeeded in scoring against Leeds United. He played against Leeds twice at Elland Road, emerging victorious on both occasions but never finding the net. Additionally, he received bookings in both encounters.
Ronaldo appeared in two matches against Sheffield United during the 2006/2007 season but did not score in either the home or away game.
The first time Ronaldo faced Crystal Palace was in 2004/2005, playing only 34 minutes in a goalless draw. Upon his comeback, he played the entire 90 minutes of United’s home game against Palace in the 2021-22 season but was unable to score despite taking five shots.
These five Premier League clubs have managed to keep Ronaldo at bay, showcasing that even the greatest goal scorer can have his nemeses.
