Autopsy Suggests Possible Drug Reaction in Singer Mohbad’s Death

an autopsy on the late singer Mohbad suggests a drug reaction might have led to his untimely demise. The investigation, undertaken by the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), involved a meticulous examination of his gastric content, blood, bone marrow, liver, kidney, and lungs. These samples were scrutinized for toxicological analysis.
Interestingly, the anatomical and pathological evaluations unearthed an injury on his right forearm. Despite moderate to severe decomposition of his exhumed body, the autopsy revealed no significant gross findings directly pointing to the cause of death.
In the toxicology report, Diphenhydramine—an antihistamine typically employed to alleviate allergy symptoms, stomach issues, colds, and even anxiety—was detected. Notably, the concentration found was not deemed fatal. The report left the precise cause of death indeterminate but hinted at the likelihood of a drug reaction, given the absence of conclusive post-mortem and toxicology evidence.
Mohbad’s passing remains shrouded in mystery, with the potential drug interaction posing more questions than answers.
