Davido Fights for Unrestricted Custody of Daughter Imade

Davido sues Sophia Momodu for joint custody of their daughter Imade. He demands unfettered and unrestricted access to Miss Imade from the Lagos State High Court. Filed by his lawyers Dr. Olaniyi Arije, Okey Barrah, and others, the suit (LD/1587PMC/2024) lists Mr. David Adedeji Adeleke as the applicant and Ms. Sophia Momodu as the sole respondent.

Davido sues Sophia Momodu, emphasizing the provisions he’s made for Imade. He’s paid school fees, provided transport, and even bought accommodation. “It is on record that I have been responsible for the payment of all the school fees of my daughter,” Davido stated, highlighting his commitment to Imade’s education.

Davido sues Sophia Momodu, revealing he purchased an apartment in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, which Sophia rejected. “The respondent rejected the offer to stay and live at the above-described secured Oniru apartment,” he said. Instead, she demanded N5,000,000 annually for rented accommodation.

“I bought a Range Rover Sport Utility Vehicle for the use of the child and the respondent,” he wrote. Despite this, Sophia complained about the vehicle’s condition without informing him. He provided another vehicle, a Highlander SUV, and N5.8m for repairs.

Davido sues Sophia Momodu, accusing her of making demands to frustrate him. He stated, “I have also been providing money for the rent of the apartment where the respondent resides with our daughter. The respondent has continued to make outlandish and Utopian demands to frustrate me.”
