Davido’s Marriage Not a Good Example to Follow – Burna Boy

Afrobeats star Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has declared that Davido’s marriage is not a good example to follow. He made this bold statement in response to a fan urging him to emulate the embattled singer and settle down soon.

Davido, currently embroiled in a custody dispute with his first baby mama, Sophia Momodu, recently lashed out at her for mentioning the tragic death of his son, Ifeanyi, in her countersuit. Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool accident at Davido’s Lagos mansion.

Following this outburst, colleague Dammy Krane taunted Davido, claiming he now understands the pain Tagbo’s mother felt. Dammy Krane accused Davido of contributing to Tagbo’s death. Burna Boy stepped in, asking Dammy Krane to delete his posts about Davido, but was ignored.

Later, the Grammy-winning musician took to his X page, posting, “Odogwu too wise’ who no hear go feel.” In the comments, a user named @BadLieutenant urged Burna Boy to follow Davido’s example and marry.

The user wrote: “Burna Boy, you should start planning for your future by getting married and starting a family. OBO has already set an example. You’re over 33 now, and you need to understand that you’re not getting any younger.”

Burna Boy responded: “Baba make I just dey as I dey abeg, u nor see wetin him dey face like dis?”

Another user, @RealDreylo, commented: “You can’t even answer a question like a reasonable person. LOL. Just big head and plenty beards.”

Burna Boy shot back: “Ok. But between me and you, Shey na betta example the guy use?”

Then, a user named @SunOfOba asked Burna Boy: “Adekunle Gold na better example?” to which Burna replied, “Ehen! Na wetin we dey pray for be that bros.”

Davido recently married his longtime girlfriend, Chioma, in a lavish ceremony in Lagos. However, Burna Boy’s remarks suggest that not all in the industry view his marriage as a model to follow.
