Gospel musician Olaoba has officially signed with Mercy Chinwo’s record label and has announced forthcoming projects.
Uzochikwa, President of GNT Nation, expressed delight in announcing the addition of Bidemi Olaoba, a renowned gospel artist, to the GNT family. He emphasized that Olaoba’s joining signifies a significant stride in the label’s commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ through transformative gospel music.
Describing Olaoba as an artist deeply dedicated to advancing God’s kingdom, Uzochikwa highlighted Olaoba’s alignment with GNT’s mission of elevating the banner of Jesus Christ globally. Olaoba’s reputation for spiritual zeal and musical prowess, characterized by his powerful voice, dynamic stage presence, and profound lyrics, resonates with GNT’s values.
Olaoba, in response, expressed excitement about collaborating with GNT on new projects, envisioning a powerful manifestation of God’s work. He recently hosted an “In His Presence” concert at the University of Lagos, showcasing his prophetic worship and praise ministry.
However, Olaoba stirred controversy on social media by stating his reluctance to perform in white garment churches due to their use of candles, perfumes, and other spiritual materials during prayers. He later apologized, affirming his belief in the universality of the gospel and expressing regret for any misunderstanding caused by his remarks.
