Rudeboy Reveals Twin Brother Peter Got Him Arrested by EFCC (Video)
In a recent interview with City 105.5FM, Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, widely known as Rudeboy, revealed a startling incident involving his twin brother, Peter Okoye. Rudeboy disclosed that Peter had him arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) last December.
Rudeboy recounted how Peter’s actions led to his arrest, specifically targeting his lifestyle. He faced severe intimidation and threats of a 20-year prison sentence, leaving him bewildered and questioning, “What did I do?”
According to Rudeboy, Peter filed a petition against him, prompting the EFCC to investigate and scrutinize his account statements. Rudeboy emphasized that if he had been involved in fraud, the consequences would have been dire. He never anticipated such a drastic move from his twin.
About a month ago, a family meeting took place, and EFCC officials eventually cleared Rudeboy of all allegations. Despite being acquitted, Peter did not apologize.
Discussing his lifestyle, Rudeboy described himself as a businessman who saves diligently, contrasting his habits with Peter’s, who he claimed might spend substantial sums on luxury cars. The allegations dated back to 2006/2007, with EFCC officials discovering that Peter had used Rudeboy’s money for purchases.
Reactions to the interview varied widely on social media. Some expressed disbelief and disappointment, while others saw the incident as a testament to the complex dynamics within families. Many urged the brothers to resolve their issues privately.
Rudeboy’s revelation highlights the intense personal and financial conflicts that can arise even among close family members, emphasizing the importance of communication and trust.
