Yul Edochie Reveals His Divine Calling to Become a Pastor
Controversial Nollywood actor and cleric, Yul Edochie, has opened up about his journey to becoming a pastor, shedding light on the divine calling that led him to this path.
In a recent interview posted on his YouTube channel, Yul Edochie, who launched his online church, True Salvation Ministry (TSM), in January, revealed that his decision to serve as a minister of God was predestined. The actor, known for his roles in Nollywood and his often-criticized decisions, shared how this spiritual transformation has brought him peace and fulfillment.
“Becoming a pastor is the best thing I have ever done for myself,” Edochie stated. “Serving God and being able to tell people about Him has brought me a peace I never had before.”
Edochie recalled that as far back as 2012 or 2013, people predicted his future as a minister, but at the time, he was focused on his successful acting career. Making money and enjoying life seemed to be his primary goals, and the idea of ministry didn’t resonate with him.
“Then, as time passed, I began to hear the voice myself,” he continued. “I would sit down, and the voice would come, saying, ‘You’re going to be a minister of God; you’re going to work for me.’ It was a message I couldn’t ignore. The distractions that once pulled me away from God lost their appeal, and I knew it was time to dedicate my life to His work.”
Reflecting on his past prayers, Edochie noted that God had answered them all. The realization of these answered prayers solidified his decision to serve as a pastor. “He told me, ‘I have done all these for you; now it’s time for you to do mine,’” Edochie concluded, affirming his commitment to his new spiritual calling.
Yul Edochie’s transformation into a pastor has sparked curiosity and conversation, with many fans following his journey in faith as he continues to hold regular Sunday services and address various issues through his online ministry.
