Marcus Rashford Banned from Driving for 6 Months
Manchester United’s forward Marcus Rashford has received a 6-month driving ban, as reported recently.
Manchester United might face challenges at the start of the 2024/2025 season, as one of their top players, Marcus Rashford, has been banned from driving for 6 months. The ban was issued by a Manchester court.
Rashford, driving a £560,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow, overtook an unmarked police car on December 12, 2023. The 26-year-old striker claimed he was being followed. As a result, he was fined £1,666 and received a six-month driving ban.
Appearing via video link at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court, Rashford was also ordered to pay a £666 victim surcharge and £120 in court costs. This followed his guilty plea to a speeding offense under the Single Justice Procedure. The speeding incident happened less than three months after he crashed another Rolls-Royce.
After Manchester United’s Premier League victory over Burnley at Turf Moor, the team returned to their Carrington training base. Rashford, driving one of his £700,000 Rolls-Royce vehicles, was involved in a collision with another car. Emergency services attended, but Rashford did not need medical attention, and no arrests were made.
Besides the Cullinan Blue Shadow, Rashford owns a £390,000 Black Badge Cullinan, a £280,000 McLaren 765 Long Tail, and a £350,000 Lamborghini Urus Performante.
