Samklef Slams Seun Kuti: Relies on Fela’s Legacy

In a recent outburst, music producer Samuel Oguachuba, famously known as Samklef, unleashed a torrent of criticism towards Nigerian singer Seun Kuti. Known for his unfiltered opinions on celebrities, Samklef didn’t hold back. He accused Seun Kuti for relying on Fela’s legacy and failing to earn genuine fan support and resorting to attacking other artists out of sheer frustration.

Samklef drew stark comparisons between Seun and his iconic father, Fela Kuti. He suggested that Seun hasn’t built his own legacy but instead leans heavily on Fela’s towering achievements. “Fela, whose father was a clergyman, established his own reputation without relying on his father’s influence,” Samklef pointed out, highlighting Seun’s inability to carve out his own path.

In a scathing voice note, the outspoken blogger labeled Seun a “noisy singer” and a fool, vowing to persist in his criticism until Seun stops targeting other artists. He even ridiculed Seun’s collaboration with Bob Marley’s son, dismissing it as “Afronoise” compared to Fela’s pioneering Afrobeat.

This isn’t the first time Samklef has publicly taken aim at Seun Kuti. Previously, he condemned Seun for supporting Verydarkman and questioned his musical abilities. “You can’t even compose music; you don’t have any hit songs that we know. At least I have many hit songs. Your father faced politicians; stop seeking validation,” Samklef declared, dismissing Seun’s work and underscoring his own success.
