Seyi Awolowo Reveals Being Disowned by His Dad Many Times

Seyi Awolowo, Big Brother Naija reality star and grandson of the late Nigerian nationalist Obafemi Awolowo, has opened up about his challenging childhood experiences. In an emotional interview with Chude Jideonwo, Seyi disclosed that his father Disowned him many Times. due to the complexities of growing up in a polygamous family.

Seyi revealed that his father, who had three marriages, meticulously documented each child’s details, reducing their identities to mere names on a list. He recalled how his father sent letters disowning his children, leaving them feeling alienated and unwanted.

“My dad disowned me a couple of times. Not just me, a couple of us. My dad married more than one wife. He married three wives. We all have files. As of right now, your name is just Seyi, full stop,” he said.
