Why I Slapped My Father On Set – Femi Adebayo

Popular Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo, recently discussed a surprising confrontation between him and his father, Adebayo Salami, better known as Oga Bello, on a movie set. During an interview, the ‘Jagun Jagun’ actor recounted an incident from the 2008 film ‘Taiwo Taiwo’ where he slapped his father.

While filming a scene where he portrayed an infamous armed robber, Adebayo was directed to break into a man’s residence to rob his father. When his father refused to hand over the money, Femi slapped him.

Adebayo admitted that the slap was not part of the script. He explained he was trying to enhance his portrayal of the character. Femi revealed that he apologized to his father. To his surprise, his father praised him, stating that if he hadn’t hit him, he would have been in trouble.
