VeryDarkMan Pleads with Davido to Release Dammy Krane from Prison

Popular Nigerian social media personality, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has made a surprising plea to singer Davido, urging him to release fellow artist Dammy Krane from prison. On August 28, 2024, VDM took to Instagram to share this allegation.

In his post, VDM expressed disbelief at Dammy Krane’s situation, recounting an unexpected encounter at a police station. “David Adeleke, Davido, you’re my brother, you’re my guy. I know you’re a jolly good fellow, not an oppressor,” VDM began, emphasizing his belief that Davido is not someone who would misuse power.

VDM described visiting the police station to thank officers for their assistance when he reportedly discovered Dammy Krane in a cell. The singer, known for his dreadlocks, was identified by a man in the station. “I didn’t expect to see Dammy Krane there. He’s insulted me before, but seeing him in this situation was shocking,” VDM shared.

According to VDM, Dammy Krane claimed that Davido was responsible for his imprisonment. “He told me that it was Davido who put him there. I told him, ‘Why wouldn’t he? You’ve attacked him and his family without proof, calling him names and making unfounded claims.'”

Despite the tension between Krane and Davido, VDM made an emotional appeal for Krane’s release. “I want to beg David, you’re not an oppressor. I know you have influence, but please don’t use it to keep him there. This isn’t who you are. Give him a second chance,” VDM concluded.

Dammy Krane’s arrest came just weeks after he publicly accused Davido of trying to frame him and vowed that if anything happened to him, Davido would be to blame. Krane alleged that he was being “arrested & oppressed for seeking justice,” fueling the ongoing controversy surrounding the situation.
